Book launch of Decarbonising the Built Environment: Charting the Transition

Swinburne Centre for Urban Transitions, CRC for Low Carbon Living (CRC LCL) and Arup are pleased to invite you to the launch of Decarbonising the Built Environment, published by Palgrave Macmillan. This important new book answers a critical question for Australia's future. In the urgent quest to 'decarbonise' our cities, how will we get there? Over seven years of unprecedented collaboration between Australian researchers together with multiple industries, businesses and government agencies that shape the way we live, CRC LCL has charted a clear, new evidence-based course. Edited by Peter Newton, Deo Prasad, Alistair Sproul and Stephen White, the book showcases a wide array of innovations in technology, institutional and social practices that transcend building, precinct and city designs, charting pathways for a rapid transition to low carbon living in 21st century cities. https://www.palgrave.com/gp/book/9789811379390 Please join us in ARUP's award winning office for the launch of this book and to network with future urban agents of change. The evening will include a discussion, drinks and finger food. There will be an opportunity to purchase a copy of the book on the night at a 35% discount of retail price. Registration is free but essential, with limited places available. Please bring your registration receipt to the venue for entry.
